BSc Public Health Nursing

For applicants preparing for professional public health nursing training, preventive healthcare practice, and community-based health service delivery.

Admission Requirements
  • Credits or better in 3 core subjects: English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.
  • Credits or better in 3 elective subjects in Science, General Arts, Agriculture, or Home Economics.
  • SSSCE holders: Aggregate Score of 24, grades A-D.
  • WASSCE holders: Aggregate Score of 36, grades A1-C6.
  • Age: 16-35 years. Applicants above 35 must be serving officers for top-up programmes with a valid AIN/PIN.
  • A combination of SSSCE and WASSCE results is not acceptable.
  • Elective Subjects:
    • Science Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Elective Mathematics, French, ICT, Geography.
    • General Arts Government, History, Economics, Elective Mathematics, ICT, One Ghanaian Language.
    • Agriculture Agriculture Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Elective Mathematics.
    • Home Economics Food & Nutrition, Management in Living, Chemistry, Biology.

BSc Nutrition

For applicants interested in nutrition, public health, food systems, and community wellness. Entry is based on qualifying SSSCE or WASSCE results and approved elective combinations.

Admission Requirements
  • SSSCE and WASSCE applicants will be admitted at level 100.
  • Applicants must be 16-35 years old.
  • Credits in 3 core subjects and 3 electives in Science, Agriculture, or Home Economics.
  • Elective Subjects:
    • Science Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, French.
    • General Agriculture Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture Science.
    • Home Economics Food & Nutrition, Management in Living, General Knowledge in Art.

Diploma in Public Health Nursing

For applicants preparing for public health nursing practice, community health support, and preventive care roles. Applicants should pay close attention to aggregate scores and accepted electives.

Admission Requirements
  • Credits or better in 3 core and 3 elective subjects in Science, General Arts, or Agriculture.
  • SSSCE: Aggregate Score of 24, grades A-D.
  • WASSCE: Aggregate Score of 36, grades A1-C6.
  • Age: 16-35 years. Applicants above 35 must be serving officers.
  • A combination of SSSCE and WASSCE results is not acceptable.
  • Elective Subjects:

Foreign Students

Applicants with foreign qualifications must meet equivalency requirements approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, GTEC, and WAEC. Keep official transcripts and supporting documents ready for review.

Top-Up for DPHN Applicants

Applicants must hold a Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) certificate and must have passed all ACCESS courses. This route is intended for qualified applicants building on existing healthcare training.
